Full Circle Living

Simple living, soulful rhythms, natural beauty.

Hi, I’m Angelia—welcome to Full Circle Living!

This space was born from my deep love of nature, creativity, and intentional living. I’m a vegetarian, licensed nail tech, knitter, nature lover, and skincare enthusiast with a passion for living in rhythm with the seasons and embracing beauty in all its forms – inside and out.

On this blog, you’ll find reflections, resources, and real-life tips on topics like skincare and makeup, plant-based nutrition, herbal wisdom, lifestyle rituals, outdoor adventures, and soulful self-care. Whether I’m sharing a DIY recipe, spotlighting a product I truly love, or exploring the healing power of herbs, it’s all part of my journey toward living simply, mindfully, and in alignment with nature.

Full Circle Living is about finding wholeness in the everyday—through creativity, connection, and conscious choices. I’m so glad you’re here to walk this path with me. 💫

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in a negative thought loop, you’re not alone—and you’re not powerless, either. One of my favorite tools for calming the nervous system, clearing emotional blocks, and getting back into flow is something called EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique). 🌿

Simple, powerful, and totally free—EFT is a holistic self-healing practice that’s gaining popularity for good reason. In this post, we’ll explore what EFT is, how it works, and the many ways it can support your emotional and physical well-being.

💫 What Is EFT Tapping?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is often called “psychological acupressure.” It combines gentle tapping on specific energy points (meridian points) on the body with focused statements about your emotional or physical concern. The technique was developed in the 1990s by Gary Craig and is rooted in both traditional Chinese medicine and modern psychology.

You tap with your fingertips on 8–10 specific points, usually while repeating phrases that acknowledge what you’re feeling. The goal is to reduce emotional intensity and help the body and mind return to balance.

🌿 How EFT Tapping Works

According to traditional Chinese medicine, energy (or “qi”) flows through pathways in the body called meridians. When emotional stress, trauma, or even daily tension builds up, it can block this flow. EFT helps to release those blocks, restoring balance to your energy system.

From a modern perspective, EFT works by:

✔️ Calming the amygdala (the part of your brain involved in the stress response)

✔️ Lowering cortisol levels (the hormone linked to anxiety and inflammation)

✔️ Rewiring emotional patterns through the power of intention, self-acceptance, and repetition

Think of it as emotional detox meets nervous system reset.

🌟 Benefits of EFT Tapping
EFT can be used for so many areas of life—emotional healing, stress relief, even physical discomfort. Some of the most common benefits include:

🧘‍♀️ Stress & Anxiety Relief
Tapping can help calm racing thoughts and ease physical tension in the body.

💔 Emotional Healing
Whether you’re carrying past hurt, grief, or self-doubt, EFT can help you process and release those emotions.

🌙 Improved Sleep
By lowering stress levels, tapping before bed can promote deeper, more restful sleep.

💪 Pain Management
While not a cure-all, many people report reduced chronic pain and muscle tension after EFT sessions. I have found that after tapping, whatever pain I may have had in my body is either gone or lessened.

🧠 Greater Mental Clarity
By letting go of mental clutter, tapping can help you make clearer, calmer decisions.

💖 Boosted Self-Awareness & Self-Love
One of the most beautiful parts of EFT is its core message: “Even though I feel this way, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.” That alone can be transformational.

👐 How to Try It Yourself

Here’s a simple version of how a basic EFT session works:

  1. Identify the issue you want to work on (stress, fear, pain, etc.).
  2. Rate the intensity of the feeling on a scale of 0–10.
  3. Create a setup statement, like:
“Even though I feel anxious about this deadline, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
  4. Tap through the points, repeating reminder phrases:
    • Karate chop (side of hand)
    • Eyebrow
    • Side of eye
    • Under eye
    • Under nose
    • Chin
    • Collarbone
    • Underarm
    • Top of head
  5.  Re-check the intensity level. Notice how it shifts after a round or two.

💡 You can repeat as many rounds as needed, gently adjusting the words to reflect how you feel in the moment.

I like using the Tapping Solution app. You can use either the free version, or upgrade to the paid version. It offers instruction on how to tap, as well as guided taps. I love the guided taps because I don’t have to come up with phrases to say while tapping. There is a guided tap for almost anything you want to address: focus, blood sugar control, motivation, better sleep, relaxation, releasing pain, releasing stress, and more. The app also offers “Challenges.” These are a series of taps that focus on something, like, “Inner Peace and Power”, “Manifest Health”, “Confidence”, “Pain Relief”, and more.

🌼 Final Thoughts

EFT Tapping is one of those beautiful, empowering tools that anyone can learn and use. It doesn’t require fancy equipment, special training, or a quiet retreat in the woods (although that sounds lovely too 😌). Just your own willingness to pause, tap in, and listen to what your body and emotions are telling you.

Whether you use it for stress relief, healing old wounds, or just as a grounding practice in your day, EFT is a reminder that your healing is always within reach. 💚
